Now all four accused in Norway for detention and care evasion, newspaper VG reports. The charges were withdrawn on Wednesday.

– There is an ongoing investigation here in Norway, it is independent of the case of Cyprus. Beyond that I can not comment on anything now, says jourhavende lawyer Bendik Hermansen in Eastern Police District in Østfold VG.

Espen Lees defender John Christian Elden contesting police producing that these are two independent investigations.

– this is slightly parodic. Norwegian police have spent such a long time to process the request from the Cypriot police that Cypriots meanwhile dismissed the case before Norwegian police react. When you come with a new indictment that has already been dropped by the Cypriot police because there is no evidence for it, commenting Espen Lees Defender John Christian Elden.

– Police say the investigation is independent of case in Cyprus. What do you say to that?

– That he should take a look at the book of the law and fact. Dropped cases in a European country is in practice also settled in all others. And when Cyprus says it is not even evidence of planning, there is clearly not a punishable attempt under Norwegian law, responds Elden told NRK.

According to Elden seized Norwegian police Espen Lees cell phone at the airport, the same mobile phone he had been left by the Cypriot police when he was released.

Elden claims there are no new factual information in the case.

– What says Espen Lee this?

– He asks only dumbfounding thereto. I take it for granted that this matter will soon be resolved and dismissed also in Norway, says Elden.
