Violence Indicted Islamist gets halved detention period – Aftenposten

Indicted for assault

Bhatti (37) was arrested by police the night of last Friday and charged for assault under especially aggravating circumstances. The aggrieved woman explained that she was thrown against a bed of the accused. Later she changed her explanation and said she was subjected to violence, but stumbled in Bhatti’s feet.

Saturday decided Oslo District Court that Bhatti was to be held in custody for four weeks, and he was imposed letter and restraining the first week of detention period.

Risk of recurrence

This was in line with the police request, which justified his request with a risk of recurrence and destruction of evidence. 37-year-old appealed the decision on the spot.

In its ruling printer Court of Appeal that there are no qualified danger of new offenses and that the recurrence risk is not high enough to be considered as imprisonment basis.
