Think violence against women was racially motivated – Varden


 - A young woman was subjected to violence by a person in a group of 5-6 people, writes Telemark Police on Twitter.

 The incident occurred on Thursday 30th July, for the period 2:00 to 02:30, at Landmann square in Skien.



 Racist comments

 The perpetrator is described as a man in his 20s, who is tall and fair-skinned.

 - The woman has got tossed racist comments by themselves and been subjected to violence. She has not been seriously injured, but had marks on the body after the incident, said investigation leader Kristian Myhra at Grenland Police Station to Varden.

 The woman who was exposed to violence are in their 20s and from Skien.

 Police suspect that the violence is racially motivated. On the basis of the woman has told during interrogation is now the police out in the media to come into contact with any witnesses.

 - She has explained that it was a terrifying experience which she perceives as blind violence and most likely racially motivated because of her ethnicity, says Myhre.



 Unknown assailant

 He said that police have since received a review of the relationship.

 - There is talk about unnamed persons and we do not know who the perpetrator is. We are not aware of any witnesses and want any witnesses arises, says Myhre.

 The case is being investigated and police want tips in the case. Myhra will not go out with the kind of comments the woman has been directed against them.

 - I will not comment on what has been said, but there are comments of a racist nature.
