One in three Norwegians are willing to accommodate a refugee – Romsdals Budstikke

The study done by Norstat for Our Country shows that one in three Norwegians are positive to house refugees in their home or a residential one owner for a period of three to six months, if the government says it is crucial to whether Norway can accept more refugees.

A clear majority of 62 percent answered no to the question. 4 percent answered do not know.

According to the figures have larger households were more likely to say yes to house refugees than smaller households of one or two pieces.

There are more women (39 percent) than men (29 percent) are positive, and among those over 50 years says far more (71 percent) refuse to lodge refugees than younger age groups.

The survey also shows that northerners are more negative than other parts of the country. They are more positive in Central Norway, including in southern Telemark and Oslo. (© NTB)
