Ammonia Emissions from fishery business in Nordland – Aftenposten

Midtre Hålogaland police reports on Twitter that it’s leaked ammonia from Norway Seafoods plant at Melbu. Emergency services are on site.

The police are asking people to stay indoors and close doors and windows.

Police have evacuated all employees of the company and all other within a radius of 600 meters, including the hotel and ferry lane on site evacuated, writes VOL.

– We have confirmed that all personnel in the area have been evacuated. Amonikken that are leaked, probably originated from fridge-freezing plant, said operations Stein Wilhelmsen to VOL.

Chemical Divers should be rushed to the place, the paper reported.
