Two people injured after twister took away roofs – TV 2

Three workers in Spydeberg was hit when a twister blew tin plates of a låvetak in Spydeberg Østfold Tuesday afternoon.

Two of the injured have been sent to the emergency room, while the third is taken to hospital in Fredrikstad.

The local whirl wind pulled the big tin plates from a låvetak. It was these plates that hit the workers.

– There are several corrugated iron sheets from a barn that has been blown off. Some workers stood on the ground and was struck by the plates, says operations manager Leif Olav Holten in Follo Police District.

Police were notified of the incident at 15.22. People on site have described that they saw a twister – a rotating wind pillar.

Follo police have not received reports of other injuries as a result of the wind.
