Thought 30 tombstones were overturned at the church in Oslo – VG

The Oslo police caught Sunday evening out to Grorud church where they discovered dozens of tombstones were completely or partially overturned. It turned out, however, that the supports were only taken down for redevelopment.

The police was notified just before 22 Sunday from a person who went through the cemetery, and they discovered overturned tombstones.

– First squad on site reported 20 fully or partly overturned tombstones, but eventually it turned out that there were several, said operations manager Christian Krohn Engeseth VG earlier Sunday.

Engeseth states that it concerns around 30 tombstones.

Oslo police detective guard traveled up to Grorud and created matter. Two hours later it turned out, however, that the graves were not overturned.

– Repr. the congregation has looked at it. Supports are taken down for restoration so it has not been vandalism. The case is closed for police his part, wrote the police on Twitter then.
