Fire in apartment building – 43 evacuated – TV 2

The fire was reported at 5:40. The time 6:30 says police efforts leader Brian Skotnes the fire is out.

– We are working to see if the fire may have spread to other loft and neighboring buildings. The fire department has been very fast and has done a good job. We have about 43 evacuees and there is one who is injured because of the smoke, says Skotnes to TV 2.

Bygarden that burned is in Falsens street in Oslo. At 06 o’clock notified police about the thick smoke and visible flames from the roof.

All emergency services moved to the place, and the residents were woken so they could be evacuated. Robin Lien is one of those who had to get out in a hurry.

– We closed the doors and saw that it was very much smoke in the stairwell, and then it was just to get out as fast as possible. Bring up the main and come down. So it took a couple minutes, and then the whole of the roof on fire, says Robin Lien TV 2.

Rapid reaction

The building that burned is a four-storey apartment building with similar buildings around.

The police was notified about the fire clock 05.40. 50 minutes later, the fire was extinguished.

The clock ran 7:15 the fire department whose fighters. 15 cars and 35 men from the agency was then still on the premises.
