GARDERMOEN (Dagbladet): Three regional organization in FRP consider a parliamentary instruction to accept 10,000 Syrian quota refugees have consequences for cooperation with Christian Democrats and Liberals.

– If a majority in Parliament forces the government to implement such a proposal, let Progress take the political consequences of it. It is considered impossible to continue the government on such a basis, writes Troms FRP in a draft resolution to the party’s national convention.

Also Akershus FRP and Buskerud FRP believes there must be consequences if Left and Christian Democrats vote for the proposal to receive 10,000 Syrian refugees.

– The numbers are clear

The deputy Per Sandberg and party leader Siv Jensen has during the congress been clear that this is not applicable for Progress.

– Is it really the most important thing we can contribute, and may Norwegian municipalities settle so many? The figures are quite clear. We can help many, many, many times more people by sending money to the region, said Jensen in his congress speech, to great applause from the audience.

Jensen points out the same as Prime Minister Erna Solberg has previously pointed out: At it already sits 5,000 people in Norwegian reception, and that an increased number of quota refugees will lead to a substantial increase in waiting time.

– Norway can not undertake tasks we can not handle. Therefore says FRP refusal to accept 10,000 refugees, but we agree to increase aid in neighboring areas, she says.

– Many viewpoints

Siv Jensen said after the speech that this is an important question that will be discussed during the congress.

– There are many views on this, but all agree, is that we should help as many as possible in the vicinity. It’s a great zeal and determination here to allocate money for it, says Siv Jensen after its congress speech.

– Then there are different views on dealing with the reception of refugees to Norway. Therefore, it will be an important question that should be the subject of political debate during the day today and under Decree treatment tomorrow, so we’ll see what congress ultimately lands on, she says.

– How will you deal with you for a possible parliamentary majority?

– Now Progressive Party’s national convention. I clarify what is the Progress Party’s view, in the same ways as other parties have done the same, says Jensen.
