Camping-Siv promise new tax cuts – VG

Hjortneskaia / GARDERMOEN (AP) Using lomper and removing camping fee laws Siv Jensen to restore FRP as a broad people’s party. Only half of the people she believes is best suited to do so.

– Should I keep up LOMPER?

Progress leader and finance minister Siv Jensen is far from averse when she pose this image VG in a caravan.

Lost voters

After the party for the first time delivered its first own budget has arrows pointed downward Siv Jensen.

At the 2013 election received FRP a result of 16.3 percent. On TV 2 last poll the party won only 8,6prosents support.

– FRP has fallen very on measurements from fall until now?

– Yeah, and then it means that we have a great potential to grow.

– So it was an advantage then?

– It was not what I said.

– Can the popular image of FRP being destroyed by that you are now running black government cars?

– I hope not. I just hope that we will deliver on the issues that we have promised our voters to meet. That’s why they vote for a party. We are not in government to sit in black cars, but for implementing policies. As long as we go in plus, then I am satisfied.

Irritating people

In government jobs FRP both with major reforms and even the small ones, which allow Segway, increase duty free quotas and introducing 110 upper speed limit on highways.

Plus Siv Jensen in March could celebrate that campingvognavgiftenble history.

– We took away marine engine fee in the summer. It was very important for people to enjoy themselves at sea. Now we have removed camper fee. It is unnecessary fees that annoy people and to care for thousands of Norwegians in everyday life.

– Why is this important for you when you finally got government power?

– It’s about that we should be concerned about the smaller issues that annoy people. In the grand scheme of each case not so important, but for our voters, these changes a difference, says Jensen.

Lover new tax cuts

She promises that she not finished cutting taxes that people are irritated.

– There will be more cuts in taxes and fees. Meanwhile, we also started with a big tax reform, which is going to be difficult and demanding.

FRP leader chooses nevertheless to emphasize that the government, and thus Right included, is united to cut fees that annoy most people.

– We have very little conflict in the government in terms of what level we should put our easing of taxes on.

– So if one who chooses wants easing of taxes and for most people, so it does not matter if they vote for the Right or FRP? It has nothing to say?

– If one who chooses want lower taxes, then it is certainly an advantage that has FRP in government.

– What helps FRP with budgets that Right would not do?

– Right must answer for themselves.

Drowned in noise

Jensen is clearly proud of having removed camper fee, and believe it is proof that the FRP make a difference in government.

– I think this is matters as most people are concerned. Meanwhile, I think very few have notified that we have now removed this charge. It drowned in the noise that was around the budget last year. That hundreds of caravan owners are calling Customs Directorate and requested the annual fee on the caravan has become of a clear proof of it.

– Do you think Norway’s richest also call the Tax Administration and wonder where they 1 , 15 percent of you have removed the wealth tax has gone?

– I think is a very relevant comparison, to be honest, says Jensen.

But despite the party she leads struggling in the polls, so ending her remaining voters up about her.

Only half points to Siv

In a poll infact has performed VG that 77 percent of FRP voters that Siv Jensen is the best suited to lead the FRP.

Only 17.3 percent want Per Sandberg. The rest do not know who they want.

It is worse in people. Among all respondents only 51.8 that they think Jensen is best suited. For Sandberg, the figure here 9.2 percent.

38 percent of voters responding do not know.

– Per Sandberg, in a poll answer roughly 50 percent of Siv Jensen is best suited as party leader, while nine percent answer you. What do you think about that?

– That people are crazy.

– The nine percent or the 90 others?

– Haha, nine of course, says Sandberg.

Siv Jensen says the numbers are an encouragement for her.

– The is great and reassuring that so many think is best suited. For I am inside my ninth year as party leader. It has been a long and exciting journey. Many challenges and much fun as we’ve been through – and is, says Jensen.

Think trend is reversed

In recent weeks mean Jensen she has seen that the negative trend is beginning to reverse the party.

– Now we go forward in the polls. To continue that growth, we will do more of what we do now. We have had a turbulent period. It has been challenging for a party that has no government experience before. There are many things we have been obliged to teach us. The learning curve has been very steep, says Jensen.

She says she now works to restore parity support and says that FRP has the opportunity to make good choices left.

– Can FRP obtain election results in over 20 percent again?

– I believe it is possible. But I know that nothing comes for free. We must work and fight to get increased support, says Progress Party leader.

Although Jensen think FRP can creep over 20 percent mark again, she will not put up any goal to be greater than Right.

– It has always been a goal to get the best possible election result. We are not the biggest party in the socialist side now.

– But before you have been very keen to get it?

– Yes. But now we are most concerned to deliver good results, so that we can continue to carry out our policy.

– It’s not important for you to become the largest non-socialist party?

– It is important for me to deliver such good results as possible. Right is a competitive game of FRP, but we cooperate with them.

– Is it a challenge that you work with one of their biggest competitors?

– I’m excited about the first campaign where we will both be competitors and partners. But I hope we will figure it out in a good way.

PS! Portions of this interview with Jensen was made in March this year.
