120 SAS flights are already set. The arbitration proceeding in overtime – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Negotiations between SAS and union Swedish Pilot Association continues throughout the night. It reported Aftonbladet.

Mediation deadline is moved to eight o’clock Thursday morning.

– The deadline is moved to eight o’clock, says Rebecca Rosenvinge in Swedish Pilot Association, after the original deadline went out at midnight.

The same applies to negotiations with Norwegian SAS pilots’ association (NSF).

If they do not reach agreement with your employer, there are six Norwegian pilots ready to go on strike from Thursday morning. It is the LO-affiliated Norwegian Cockpit Association leading the mediation of Norwegian SAS pilots’ Association (NSF). Respondent represented by Federation of Norwegian Aviation, type NTB.



Swedes affected

The first pilots are taken out from the morning if no agreement has been reached. There is still distance between the parties in negotiations to put in place a new collective agreement for the pilots who are organized into NSF.

About 300 Swedish pilots at SAS are ready for strikes and ready to lay down work if the company do not give them a collective agreement they are satisfied with.

It is mainly Swedish airline passengers affected.

Quiet in Norway

It does not flykaos in Norway Firstly. If there is a strike, only six pilots put down the work already Thursday. An escalation will not occur until over the weekend.

But in Sweden the situation is different. Where SAS has already canceled 120 flights for fear of strikes, according to Aftonbladet.

The majority of SAS flights in Sweden and to and from Sweden will be affected if there is a strike. There may also be some disruptions in air traffic in Norway and Denmark, warns the company.
