The landslide is approximately 30 meters wide and has gone by Kyrkjenuten, down towards Slettedalen in Sauda. Kyrkjenuten is a popular hiking destination state, writes Stavanger Aftenblad.
– We are entering with crews, because a report seen ski tracks into landslide area. We do not know if this is new or old track. No one is reported missing, but we take no chances, says operations Terje Tonning at Haugaland and Sunnhordland police.
Both police and avalanche dogs are on their way to the place now, getting Aftenbladet illuminated clock 16.10. In addition, a landslide group headed into the Sea King helicopter.
