Labor supports distrust towards Anundsen in asylum children matter – Aftenposten

It is the first time in 32 years that Labor is helping to promote a confidence motion.

Labour Party’s parliamentary resolved Wednesday to vote for a no confidence motion against Justice Minister Anders Anundsen (FRP) in connection with his handling of asylum children matter. Left and KrF has not yet decided

Party leader Jonas Gahr Støre says Anundsen has not adhered to the duty to inform Parliament.

Thus, the party will vote for mistrust. Get the majority with the help of the Liberal Party and the Christian Democratic Party must Anundsen go. Then a great risk that the entire government goes off.

Asked whether he is ready to take over government responsibility says Støre that “there is solid bourgeois majority.”

– We have had a long meeting and discussed what is a serious and important issue, and we have concluded that Labor can not have confidence in the justice minister, said the Labor leader Jonas Gahr Støre after the group meeting Wednesday.

He stressed that this is an inspection case, not a case of asylum policy. It also says Jette Christensen, who sits in the Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs of Labor.

– We have found a minister who has misinformed repeatedly, which has held back information and have not given Parliament the information it has requested.

Wednesday afternoon were modest from the Christian Democrats and Left that they do not conclude today. Formally, the deadline for submitting comments to the recommendation from SCSCA Friday.

At that Labor joins Sp and SV, and say they will vote for mistrust, increasing pressure on the Left and KrF. The two parties are required to obtain a majority for the proposal.

Will adjourn the case

According to Aftenposten, want management Left to wait as long as possible to take a decision in case. Then they will be able to see if the government comes with concessions.

Liberal group meeting shall therefore not scheduled draw any conclusions about yes or no to mistrust Wednesday.

Nor KrF intends to take a final position on Wednesday afternoon, getting Aftenposten enlightened.

Control Committee deadline to decide the question of distrust towards Anundsen is March 23.

– I No comment, says Liberal man in control committee Abid Q. Raja.

As Aftenposten reported Tuesday, there have been talks between party leaders on bourgeois side centrist desire for a new procedural for all the 80 long remaining asylum children who were sent out of Norway during the last year.

Anundsen in place in Parliament Wednesday

After answering questions from Aps Hadia Tajik on PST’s use of mobile surveillance, went justice minister in the face of Progress municipal faction. Also present was State Secretary Himanshu Gulati (FRP) of the Prime Minister’s office.

The Minister of Justice would not say anything about control case he is involved in, or whether it is appropriate to bring seconded children back.

Will treat children matters again

KrF and Left believes kids should get tested their case again against the new rules came into place just before Christmas.

Right and FRP basically want To avoid such a new round.

Progress Party Jan Arild Ellingsen was crystal clear when the claim first came from the Christian Democrats and Liberals.

– It will be like driving a knife in his back on us. We have a Minister of Justice who has stood school straight to the audit committee. Now if they should force him to take asylum children back, then it is tantamount to crucify his political position, said Ellingsen to BT.no.

Will let questions about mistrust hang in the air

Left hope whatever it is possible to push the government parties to come to meet them if the threat of mistrust or a highly critical resolution from kontrollkomieen against justice minister still hangs in the air.

According to Aftenposten feel government parties fairly ensure that it is unlikely that a no confidence motion against Anundsen will not have a majority in Parliament.

The most likely is some kind of criticism against the minister, but the Conservatives and the Progress Party is important how powerful this criticism is expressed.

KrF argues, to a greater extent than Left, that the issue of mistrust and the question of a new procedural coercion seconded asylum children are two completely separate issues.

Before today’s decision after the Aftenposten knows been different assessments in labor whether the party should go in for distrust now, or whether the party should wait and see what the Christian Democrats and Left do before they decide.

A deputy Bård Vegar Solhjell is rapporteur in asylum children matter Control Committee and has already concluded that there are grounds for suspicion against the Minister of Justice.
