The core of today’s hearing in Parliament is that the Police Immigration Service (PU) should not have been relayed political pressure from the Justice Department that considerations of the child’s best – especially asybarn who have been long in the country – should be given greater weight when stay applications are considered.

BACKGROUND: Asylum Children: This can trap Anundsen

There have been Police Directorate responsibility to pass this so-called “omitted formulation.”

– We should have seen this change. It is embarrassing that we have not managed to see it, said Police Chief Humlegårdsvägen under the well three-hour hearing.

Meanwhile swore Humlegårdsvägen on VG questions, that in talks with Justice Minister Anders Anundsen never has been talk to shield asylum children.

No bells rang

Now it justice minister who must answer for themselves.

At the end of the hearing, while he interrogated by Martin Kolberg (Ap) says Anundsen following:

– I do not think it is possible to do this in a better way than I have done.

But then, shortly afterwards:

– We could have done things better to follow this up in a better way. It has slipped. And it is my responsibility.

Jette Christensen (Ap) and Bård Vegar Solhjell (SV) points both that Anundsen received over 70 alerts, letter in return from PU, and that there was considerable media coverage on the expulsion of asylum children . They wonder why the minister did not respond when many of them were sent in September.

– There are not so many of the alerts that would contribute to the bells to ring.

He says:

– This emerged in the report in October. But that was sent out many in September, I was aware of. It was connected with that many were sent out in total in September.

Abid Raja (V) asks several times if not justice minister and ministry in any way could though that the clear policy change does not was carried down in the agencies before Bergens Tidende revealed dispatch numbers.

– autumn we might helped to investigate why so many long remaining children were returned, recognizing Anundsen.

Raja wondering on whether the minister wants to grumble that it was sent out long remaining children, which was against the minister’s wishes.

– I am sorry that we have come in such a situation, and the consequences it has received.

Raja tries several times to get him to give a personal apology, which the Attorney General does not provide.

Anundsen: – Should have been clearer

Per Olaf Lundteigen (Sp) asks three times what mistakes he believes police director has committed. Anders Anundsen unresponsive, but emphasizes the following:

– Regardless of who has done wrong it is my responsibility.

Christian Democrat Hans Fredrik Grøvan find it “strange” that it could plant a misguided attitude in PU and Police Directorate, when agencies had regular meetings with the Ministry through a whole year, and the minister publically expose was very clear on poltikken.

– I assume that the agencies relate to the control parameters they receive from the ministry, he replied.

Earlier in the hearing said Anundsen following:

– We should have been clearer, there is no doubt that we should take his lesson. The case provides a basis for learning and a review of current practice.

But let simultaneously until

– It must be assumed that managers in the police read the letter they receive.

PU: – Never got instructions

On the way into the hearing room responded Anundsen, questions from VG, that he did not wish to comment on whether he sits safely as minister.

In the questioning of Odd Reidar Humlegård earlier in the day he stressed that the dispatch of families in 2014 have not come in competition with the distribution of criminals.

– It is not so that it is easier or simpler to send out families. It is very demanding to send out children.

PU Manager Kristin Ottesen Kvigne confirmed earlier in the day that she never got along some instructions from the Ministry of Justice while remaining children before asylum children case began to roll in Bergens Tidende.

– I noted no differences on this point before BT contacted me, said Kvigne when she Friday met for consultation in Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs.

Long Stay asylum children should continue to be prioritized

Parliamentarian Hans Fredrik Grøvan (KrF) Asked Ottesen Kvigne question:

– When did you prioritize long remaining children?

– Our disposition write on seen against the background of a number of other factors. Families was a priority and it is still black PU boss.

Geir Petter Pettersen, representative in PU, responded earlier that day cash no if he knows any written documentation that would indicate a policy change long remaining asylum children.

As late as June last year shall Police Immigration Service (PU) have determined to NOAS that long remaining asylum children still were prioritized for dispatch.

General Ann-Magrit Austenå NOAS says PU was clear that the priorities were the same as before during a meeting on 25 June last year.

– There was no signs of any policy change, she said.
