16 Swedish and Dutch skate tourists had Saturday morning rescued from an ice floe on the lake. The drama began in 09 o’clock.

– I saw skaters on the ice. Suddenly there was some sinister gusts. Ice cracked up along the shore. Wretches standing on an ice floe just outside the treatment plant, says Holte.
When OA talked to him he feared that the entire ice sheet were to crumble and that skaters end up in the water. There were also some of skaters who did. Two or three of them ended up in the water, but was rescued to safety on ice floe.
16 people trapped on ice floes
Operations Pål Erik Teigen told OA at 09 o’clock the police had received notification that a skater had gone through the ice, that a patrol went on shore and light, but so far they have not seen anything to indicate that someone has gone through the ice.
– Many go on ice but no one is in need. We continue search, lighted police.
Few minutes later notified police on Twitter that it may appear that more people can be caught out on the lake on an ice floe. That was when it was turned full alarm.
16 people were observed drifting south on the ice floe. In one hour shall floe has driven about 200 meterr.

Helicopters

Police said that no people were injured, and that those who landed in the water does not need medical help.

Swedish skaters
Teigen says that there is a greater result with Swedish skaters who have been walking on Mjøsa ice and that they should have shared itself. Some went north and some went south. A tourist bus has picked up the 16 that ended in need.
Many residents of Gurgaon have followed the drama on Mjøsa ice. Many have called the police to alert.
– We must commend all residents who have called and notified. I’m impressed, says Teigen.

– There has been a tremendous effort, says Teigen and adds a piece of information that now everyone should have learned.
