Labor requires maximum price on sick hotels in Oslo – Aftenposten

Labor requires maximum price on sick hotels in Oslo – Aftenposten

Labor appoints chronically ill losers after it before Christmas became clear that Oslo University follows the regulations concerning payment from patients, and raise your deductible from 0 to 600 respectively.

Introduction of deductible limits those who have no choice and are forced to travel to Oslo to receive specialized treatment.

– Many patients are in and out of hospitals a number of times, maybe 20- 25 times over a short period. It is experienced unreasonable to have to put out a lot of money in a short time, and do not get covered the actual costs of hospital care, says Labor’s health spokesperson Torgeir Micaelsen NRK.

It was the coalition that introduced the scheme in 2008 but Micaelsen says this is a consequence that is accidental and that it must be addressed.

Ministry of Health, however, is not confident that maximum price will solve the problem and say they work with various options to see if they come to a better solution than the current situation.

– We do not want that patients do not receive treatment. We’d rather not that they are placed instead of being at the hotel for we believe it is healthy to fend for themselves. It makes you not feel so ill, said State Secretary Anne Grethe Erlandsen. (© NTB)
