Norwegian pilots alarm about working conditions – Dagbladet.no

Developments in aviation have now come to a point where it is necessary to shout, a cry, says Yngve Carlsen Norwegian SAS pilots Association Dagsavisen.

Now warns SAS pilots against poor working conditions and long days will lead to at least a serious plane crash during the next 24 months.

– These things will obviously affect the pilot’s operational judge ability, or the ability to say stop. The safety net in aviation that has been built up over 60-70 years and have made this a safe and efficient industry, there is one about to take holes, says Carlsen, who is himself a pilot.

He believes that poor working in aviation, not just for pilots, is a natural consequence of the arrival of budget airlines in aviation. When they push prices, they must cut spending elsewhere.

Now requires SAS pilots that a minimum should be permanent positions. On the way, they will at least have an overview of how the social responsibility lies.

– We demand that the pilot is responsible for as many passengers should at least be employed where operational responsibility lies. There are currently spread out, and it may be seven legal entities that are part of the contractual relationship, says Carlsen.
