Police clashed with tram in Oslo – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): In 01 o’clock Monday night collided with a police car a tram in Tofte street Torshov in Oslo.

– We have had a patrol car crashed by tram. A colleague was trapped and had to be released by the fire department, says operations manager Marita Aune of the Oslo police told Dagbladet.

Police efforts, Svein Arild Jørundland, according to Dagbladet reporter on site that in addition to that one policeman was injured, suffered also a tram passengers up minor injuries. The person is sent to the emergency room for observation.

Currently it is unknown how serious injury policeman has incurred.

– We have more patrols on site working to find out what has happened and ensuring track on site. Health and fire departments are also there. The tram will be standing for a while. There will be traffic congestion in the area, we have created lots of roadblocks, said operations Aune.

The cause of the accident is currently unclear.

– It happened during emergency with police car beyond that, I have nothing, says efforts leading Jørundland.

Rachel Kousiakis was one of the passengers on the tram. She says that she was quite far behind, and that she initially did not realize that they had collided.

– What I got with me was the trams hooted and screeched to a stop so we. That’s often that people run out into the road and the tram spouts, so I thought that it was just that. But then it became a little chaos on the tram, so when I realized that we had crashed, says Kousiakis Dagbladet.
