Køkaos after accident at E134 – Bergens Tidende

The accident occurred inside the Seljestad tunnel, according to police.

Sunday afternoon Seljestad tunnel between Odda and Røldal on E134 closed after a traffic accident.

– It is reported that two cars are involved. The accident happened in the tunnel, said operations manager Lars Geitle Western Police District earlier today.

The extent of damage and the number of people involved was long unknown.



A car in the rock wall

just before 16:00 police said that there was only one car involved in the accident.

– it’s a car that has run sideways into the rock wall of the tunnel. But the driver is unharmed, said operations manager Morten Kronen.

It meant some traffic problems and congestion, but traffic should run normally.

– We bring the driver of the car for a check, said crown.



– Queue and chaos

Road Traffic Management Centre had closed both Seljestad tunnel and røldal tunnel, which is close by. The detour was via the old road.



Around the clock 15.10 notified the police that there was congestion and chaos on the small detour road outside the tunnel, and requested motorists about either waiting in queue at E134.
