– I went through our reasoning. I’d need to explain why we disagree with the austerity proposals and put forward our package and explain why it is actually quite tight, says Skei Grande said.

Asked about she thinks they understood each other, responding Skei Grande:
– Listhaug is not stupid. She understands general Norwegian sentences in and it was pretty much what I had.
She is nevertheless unsure if they will come to an agreement when the government actually puts forward its proposals to Parliament over Easter.

Skei Grande stressed that Norway should join the European voluntary basis, to deal with the refugee crisis, when she spoke to the National Executive Committee Saturday. Then we must take our share if Europe is to bring Syrian refugees from Turkey. Such an arrangement may be the result of an agreement with Turkey, where the country “take back” refugees who have come to Greece.
In his speech Saturday went however Skei Grande also attacked the “Tsars, sultans and emperors, “a reference to managers in Hungary, Russia, as well as Turkey, which she believes leads a daunting policy in the face of the refugee crisis.
– There is an ongoing struggle over values in Europe, said Skei Grande, which is believed must hold to liberal values.
