Ebola samples were negative in Bergen – Aftenposten

“The answers to samples taken by the possible Ebola infected patient were negative. There is no reason to believe that he is the Ebola infected. The patient is still routinely at the hospital some time to come in line with the guidelines of Public Health, “writes Haukeland University said in a statement Sunday morning.

The man who now has come to determined that he is not infected with Ebola, had been in Sierra Leone, one of the three countries that have had the most Ebola cases in connection with the big eruption in 2014.

Infectious Disease Consultant Øystein Søbstad of Bergen confirmed that also Helse Bergen were put on alert.
